About Me

Parents Moving Mountains is a blog designed by five moms. We are from Arizona and each one of us has a different story to tell, but the one thing we have in common is we each have children with disabilities. We met in a leadership and advocacy training class through Pilot Parents of Southern Arizona. Our goal is to bring community awareness to other parents, guardians, and individuals with disabilities. Below, we have created and attached different styles of letters that you can use to help you with doctor's appointments, educational settings, and extracurricular activities. We have also compiled a list of websites of different organizations that can provide support to you. The listed organizations are located in Arizona and the United States. By providing these references and letters we hope that it will help you move those mountains that can come along.

I remember when my daughter started preschool.  I was so nervous and I cried the entrie week before she was to start preschool. I wanted the teacher to know everything about my daughter and hope that she would remember everything I had said.  I'm sure we all have experienced similar feelings.   Having a letter to the preschool teacher will help the teacher know your child a little bit better and also a good reminder for your childs specific needs.
